Crown will feature the works of three renowned photographers whose artistry highlights the depth and diversity of Black hair across generations\, cultures\, and styles. \n \nThe Artists featured in this exhibit: \n \n• Robert Sipho Bellinger: An esteemed educator\, historian\, and photographer\, Robert brings over 40 years of archival photographs that document the evolution and cultural significance of Black hair. His work offers a historical lens on the beauty and resilience of Black hair\, showcasing intimate portraits that reflect the pride\, struggles\, and triumphs of the Black community over decades. \n \n• Jordan Naheesi: A Brooklyn-born\, Los Angeles-based creative multihyphenate\, Jordan has built a remarkable career as a photographer\, videographer\, designer\, and curator. His photography journey began at Ohio University\, where his passion for storytelling through visuals flourished. With nearly a decade of experience\, Jordan has captured some of the most influential cultural figures\, including Erykah Badu\, Smokey Robinson\, and Kyrie Irving\, and has worked with global organizations like SiriusXM. His vibrant\, contemporary work celebrates the individuality and artistry of Black hair in modern culture. \n \n• Najee Brown: The Artistic Director of the Multicultural Arts Center\, Najee is a Boston-based photographer with 20 years of experience capturing life through his lens. Born and raised in Brooklyn\, Najee’s work is deeply rooted in storytelling\, blending authenticity and creativity to celebrate the beauty of Black culture. Through Crown\, Najee explores the joy\, love\, and creativity expressed through Black hair\, capturing its magic and its role in shaping the cultural fabric of the world.  \n \nPhotographer Najee Brown shared his thoughts on the exhibition: \n \n“Black hair is a crown\, a symbol of beauty\, creativity\, and resilience. For centuries\, it has been a canvas for expression\, a source of pride\, and a target of misunderstanding. With Crown\, we reclaim that narrative\, focusing on the joy\, love\, and artistry that Black hair represents. For Liberty! a new musical celebrating courage\, sacrifice\, and the birth of the American Revolution will come to Lexington for one day\, Saturday\, April 11. \nBlending original music\, dance\, and powerful storytelling\, For Love! For Liberty! bridges centuries as middle-school history students help the U.S. Park Service bring the past to life.  \nAt the heart of the musical is the true story of Henry Knox\, a young Boston bookseller who in the winter of 1775–1776 undertook an almost impossible mission: hauling sixty tons of cannon across frozen lakes and snow-covered mountains to save the struggling American Revolution. \nThe production also shines a light on the remarkable woman\, Lucy Knox\, who defied her loyalist family\, sacrificed her fortune\, and sustained Henry’s courage through letters and cake. \nFilled with memorable songs\, lively choreography\, and engaging historical characters\, the show is designed to inspire audiences of all ages while illuminating one of the most dramatic moments in Revolutionary history. The show had its world premiere in January 2026 and brought to Lexington as part of the MA 250 Revolutionary celebration and the Scottish Rites Masonic Museum and Library’s 50th anniversary.  \nFamilies\, history lovers\, and community members are encouraged to attend this unique theatrical experience that brings the American Revolution vividly to life. \nEvent Details:\nFor Love!
