On Saturday, September 27th, Lexington will trade its quiet charm for the sound of strumming guitars, smooth brass, and voices rising in harmony as the 3rd Annual Lexington Porchfest takes over town. From 1–5 p.m., more than 100 musical acts will perform at over 60 locations, turning porches, lawns, and now—new this year—downtown parks and plazas into stages for an afternoon of free, live music.
Organized by the Lexington Council for the Arts, Porchfest is a grassroots celebration of music in all its forms. Whether you love soulful solo acoustic sets, high-energy cover bands, original compositions, or the power of a full big band, there’s something for every listener. This year marks a milestone: for the first time, performances will fill central gathering spots such as the Visitor Center park, Emery Park, and the steps in front of Cary Library.
Rain date is Sunday, September 28th. For performance schedules, maps, and details, visit lexingtonporchfest.org. Bring your walking shoes, your curiosity, and your love of music—Lexington will provide the soundtrack. Lexington Porchfest is sponsored by a grant from the Lexington Council for the Arts, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
