Lexington Education Foundation Announces Celebration for Education2012.

Saturday, March 31, from 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM at the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln.

Lexington Education Foundation (LEF), a nonprofit organization bringing 21st century technologies, training, and innovation into Lexington Public School classrooms, will hold Celebration for Education 2012 This event is LEF’s third Celebration for Education and the organization’s main event to raise funds for its grant programs to support all nine Lexington public schools.

 

“We are very excited to hold this year’s Celebration for Education in the deCordova’s Dewey Family Gallery,” said LEF Co-President Sue Schiffer. “The venue is dynamic, featuring large-scale wall installations and guests will have the option to roam through the Museum’s other amazing galleries, including regional art featured in The 2012 deCordova Biennial.”

“Celebration for Education is our largest fundraiser and we invite the Lexington community to join us for an evening of dining, dancing, and socializing to help support the next round of grants to benefit all public school students,” added Co-President Mary Ellen Alessandro.

“We’ve got an incredible list of silent auction items and Doug Stinson will drive our always fun and exciting live auction and Technology Blitz.” Celebration for Education 2012 will include dinner bites with an international fl air, signature champagne cocktail, and cash bar. An award-winning LHS Jazz Ensemble will provide live music for the cocktail hour, followed by a program highlighting LEF successes this past year. Pure Energy Entertainment’s top DJ Angel Torres will then keep the dance floor packed, spinning favorite tunes from the 80’s through today. A list of silent and live auction items will be available prior to the event. Tickets are limited and will be available mid-February.
