Legington Legacy 5K
The Lexington Legacy 5k will be hosted on “Small Business Saturday,” November 29th starting at 9am at Lincoln Field in Lexington.
Since 2008, when the LHS Cross Country/Track & Field team hosted its first annual “Alumni Race,” the local running community has come together during Thanksgiving week to race on the same course the team has called home since 1970.
Over the last 17 years, supported by athletes, coaches, and parent volunteers, our tradition has grown into an event that shares the sport we love with the larger community.
This year, the Boosters of Lexington Track-XC are excited to invite the community to participate in the Lexington Legacy 5k.
All proceeds from this event go to support the 300 boys and girls of the LHS XC/TF team. In addition, we are excited to once again partner with the Lexington Food Pantry to provide meals to those in need.
Participants and spectators are asked to bring any non-perishable food items labeled before their “use-by” date to the race.
This event will support our kids, give back to the local community, and continue this longstanding tradition around Lexington’s Thanksgiving week activities. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, November 29th!
