Adam Tidd Screening
Tuesday, February 17, 6:30 – 8:30 PM, at the Depot Free
Learn the untold story of Adam Tidd, who lived through slavery and service in the Continental Army to become the father of a prominent Boston musician, in a filmed interview with historians Bill Poole and Sean Osborne, followed by a live Q&A. Presented by the Association of Black Citizens of Lexington.
Drop-In Activity Day at Munroe Tavern

Tavern keeper William Munroe had six kids – learn the sort of activities they might have participated in at the tavern! Make a candle, write with a quill pen, play historical games or just sit back and watch Liberty’s Kids on TV.
Children’s Tour of the
Hancock-Clarke House

$10 per child, 1 free parent per group.
See a historic home from a child’s point of view! We’ll explore the Hancock-Clarke House and learn what it was like to live through the American Revolution, including a reading of the children’s book The Midnight Writer by local author Sabrina Bhattacharjya. For grades 1-3.
From Attic to Access: Preserving Lexington’s Heritage

Learn the life cycle of a museum donation in this special fundraiser. You’ll get up close and personal with newly donated items, pieces in need of conservation, and the tools we use to keep Lexington’s history safe for generations to come. All donations will benefit the curatorial department and conservation.
Revolutionary Stories: The Tales Behind What To See In Lexington

How do we know what we do about history, and are there still secrets left to find? Hear some of the stories we uncovered from Lexington’s history for our new book Revolutionary Stories, from musket balls buried in battlefields to letters hidden in dusty attics. Presented in partnership with Cary Library.
Irish Tavern Night at Buckman Tavern
Saturday, March 14, 5:00 – 7:00 PM, at Buckman Tavern
$20 members, $25 nonmembers
It’s back! Travel back in time to an 18th century Irish pub at our St. Patrick’s weekend tavern night. Sip on beer and cider from our historic bar, listen to live Irish music from the Merry Minstrels, and mingle with reenactors as you play authentic board and card games from the period. Tickets include one drink!
