The Lexington Interfaith Food Pantry has been serving the families of Lexington since 1990. They are a nonprofit organization that is staffed entirely by volunteers. Donations of non-perishable food items, unopened personal hygiene items, and monetary donations are welcome.

The Dana Home Foundation

The Dana Home Foundation dedicates its resources to the care, comfort, and well-being of Lexington seniors. The foundation provides annual grants ranging from $3,000 to $50,000 to organizations that serve Lexington seniors. The foundation has awarded close to 1.5 million dollars since 2012.

Twenty years ago, the late Dan Fenn proposed establishing a Fund in Lexington to serve as a resource for the Human Services Department to help individuals and families experiencing temporary hardship. It is called The Fund for Lexington.
Donations provide grocery and gift cards for families with children under 18 to purchase food, winter coats and clothing, and emergency fuel assistance.

The Lexington Chapter of Neighbor Brigade provides temporary, non-monetary support to Lexington residents experiencing a crisis due to an accident, illness, or death. The network of Lexington residents provides short-term meals, rides, light housework, simple errands, and pet care until more long-term supports can be put in place to help recipient families or individuals.

The Lexington Scholarship Fund offers deserving Lexington students need-based financial awards to help cover the cost of their post-secondary undergraduate education. Scholarships are available to students who are Lexington residents at the time of their graduation from Lexington High School or Minuteman High School. Scholarships are awarded annually. You may donate at any time to the Lexington Scholarship Committee.

METCO College Scholarship Fund of Lexington

The METCO College Scholarship Fund provides financial support for LHS graduates from the METCO program who are moving on to college. Currently, the fund supports over 30 students each year. This fund is here to help students throughout their college career. The Scholarship fund is also available to assist if a financial emergency arises that threatens a student’s ability to stay in school.
