Music in the Library: Express Lane Barbershop Quartet
Thursday, May 77:00—8:00 PM
Large Meeting Room
Cary Memorial Library
1874 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, MA, 02420

Express Lane sings old and new songs in the traditional barbershop style. They formed as a new quartet in mid-2015, but their smoothly blended sound reflects a total of more than 50 years of experience singing barbershop harmony. Rob (Lead) and Doug (Baritone) previously sang together for 8 years in the Northeastern District medalist quartet Concord eXpress. Jim (Bass) has sung in several area quartets, including Sentimental Gentlemen, and Jon (Tenor) has sung in a quartet in the past, and has been active for some time in a few different jazz bands. Together they have a sound and style that is Expressly their own.
Attendance is on a first-come basis. Registration is suggested to plan for seating and to notify attendees of any changes.
This program is made possible by the generous donors to the Cary Library Foundation.
