The Rotary Club of Lexington awarded a record number of scholarships this year to deserving members of the Class of 2012 from from Lexington High School, Minuteman High School and Lexington Christian Academy. The club is proud to provide charitable support to the local community as part of its overall commitment to service. A total of $27,000 was awarded to these students pictured below who attended the awards luncheon at Waxy O’Conner’s.

With cost of college and other post-secondary programs escalating, scholarships help students to deal with the high cost of tuition, room and board, and ever-increasing fees. The Rotary Scholarships Program recognizes students’ leadership skills, academic achievement and commitment to community service. Lexington High School Recipients: Joseph Higgins, Leah Buckley, Michelle Batrio, Raymond Stebbins, Elaine Choi, Malik Alfred, Keaghan Adley, Danny Paul Godwin, Connor Zanin, Colleen Hughes, Lillian Hochman, Victoria Kendall, Alicia Russo, Ronald Beaulieu, Hannah Brown, Emme Hede Brierley, Isabella Brandao, Steve (Sung Kyung) Jung, Bronwen Stern.
